NFL Twitter can’t help but revel in the fact that Deshaun Watson’s first attempt to score with the Cleveland Browns ended in a disastrous interception.
Although the Houston Texans fanbase has been a beleaguered cohort for years on end, it seems that millions joined them in their cause on Sunday: rooting against Deshaun Watson.
While there were many Cleveland Browns fans who disappointed with inappropriate jokes supporting Watson, Texans fans came out in droves to welcome Watson with loud boos upon his arrival.
The NRG Stadium home crowd didn’t make it easy for Watson, and neither did the players on his former team. As Watson drove down the field on what could have been a touchdown drive, he was picked off in the endzone by Jalen Pitre.

He's currently only 4 of 8 passing with an INT.https://t.co/EbZfdUH02k
Leading NFL media maven Pat McAfee led the charge with a hilarious tweet about Watson throwing an “absolute dart” to a Houston Texan.

From there, everyone across Twitter reveled in how disastrous Watson’s Browns debut had begun.
NFL Twitter revels in Deshaun Watson disasterclass after endzone interception in Browns debut
The term “Deshaun Watson disasterclass” has populated Twitter as a perfect description of everything wrong with his NFL return. While many still vehemently oppose Watson’s NFL return and the questionable media coverage surrounding it, all that critics can hope for in Week 12 is that Watson fails miserably — or gets injured, apparently.

While the game isn’t over yet, football fans across the NFL landscape are already looking forward to seeing Watson fail against the worst team in the NFL.
Tua winning today while DeShaun Watson flops against the worst team in the NFL would be wonderful

So far, the quarterback play between both sides has been atrocious — perhaps Jacoby Brissett could pop in and run a few more plays as the Browns bench their $230 million quarterback.

Having Watson lose the starting gig in his first game back would be the outcome millions of NFL fans would relish, but it’s unlikely the Browns would so easily give up on Watson at this point, especially after his “signs of progress.”
After a Nick Chubb handoff resulted in a safety, it seems Watson’s first-half performance is going as poorly as theoretically possible.
AND SAFETY....

First half drives for Deshaun Watson:
- Punt
- Fumble
- INT
- Safety
It looks like the Texans, and everyone in the NFL world, are the ones enjoying the revenge game, not Watson.
