8. Kareem Hunt, Cleveland Browns

Kareem Hunt has been a disappointing fantasy player in 2022. After being a solid PPR flex throughout most of last season, Hunt has been hovering between bench and waiver-wire status for most of the year. Between the big workloads that Nick Chubb receives, and the overall ineptitude of the Browns’ offense, it’s been a struggle for Hunt.

What was encouraging for Hunt was his usage last week during the season debut of Deshaun Watson. Hunt slightly narrowed the gap in snaps with Chubb, and saw his highest amount of touches (10) since Week 8. While he’s not a league-winner, he’s certainly a name to monitor this week in a potential shootout versus Cincy.

7. Michael Carter, New York Jets

Michael Carter has missed the last game and a half with an ankle injury, but looks poised to make his return in Week 14. Unfortunately for him, Zonovan Knight has arrived and will remain at worst a 1B in a backfield committee. Carter’s high volume after the Breece Hall injury appears to have vanished.

Carter is still a talented back, and is still one that the Jets’ coaches trust. His role won’t disappear, and he should see a solid amount of volume in a two-man committee in a huge game against the Buffalo Bills.
