Another offensive line player? Yes, and we will not be apologizing for that. All options must be considered until that offensive line is up to par and playing at a high level. Moreover, the center position is underrated, yet it is the most valuable and demanding position to play in the NFL outside of cornerback and quarterback.

If you have an elite center, an elite cornerback, and an elite quarterback, you are in business. An average corner can be fixed, but for the quarterback and center, there is no excuse and no exception. If the Steelers believe that Kenny Pickett is their guy, or Mitchell Trubisky, or anyone else, the right thing to do would be to find a center to help him.

Sedrick Van Pran has played on the biggest stages in college football for elite teams. Not to mention, he will be playing once again in the College Football Playoff against Ohio State, and should the Bulldogs win, they get to play either TCU or Michigan, both of whom have strong defensive fronts that will help strengthen Van Pran’s resume.
