Will Fuller would be an even better option for Patrick Mahomes than OBJ

One of the names many NFL fans have wanted their team to sign over the past several months is still without a job. Speedy veteran Will Fuller signed with the Dolphins last year and appeared in just two games before suffering a season-ending finger injury.

But, prior to his hiatus, Fuller was one of the most electric deep threats in the league. Injuries have plagued the former Notre Dame standout over his six years in the NFL, but one has to believe he still has plenty left in the tank when healthy. That’s the big question. At this point, Fuller is over a year removed from that season-ending injury. Is he healthy, now?

This is a receiver who has ended three of his seasons averaging over 15 yards per reception, and would be the closest thing to a Tyreek Hill type of replacement for Mahomes.

Now, that’s not to say that Mahomes needs a replacement for Hill. He’s been arguably the most consistent quarterback in football this season, and is quietly atop many outlets’ MVP race.

If Fuller is healthy, he’ll likely be the fastest player on the field at any given moment. Sending him deep and allowing Mahomes to do his thing? Chiefs fans, are you with me? It sounds like a match made in heaven.

Let’s be real, though. Does Mahomes really need another weapon? He’s the offense’s catalyst in and of himself, but too many good players is never a bad problem to have.
