The Dallas Cowboys are in the thick of the stretch run. Here is a prediction for how they will fare and a look at their first round in the 2022 playoffs.

The Dallas Cowboys have, once again, entered the stretch run as one of the more formidable and complete teams in the NFL.

The Philadelphia Eagles are the lone team to claim a playoff position thus far, and although each of the four teams in the NFC East is currently seeded in the playoff picture, America’s Team appears to be the only of the remaining three certain to have a seat at the table. At 10-3 they are just a tick behind the Birds (12-1), and have the unique opportunity to shake up the playoff picture entirely over the course of their final four games.

With that said, let’s take a look at each of the Cowboys’ remaining matchups, and predict how they will turn out.

Dallas Cowboys vs Jacksonville Jaguars Week 15 prediction

For the third straight week, the Cowboys have a showdown with a team from the AFC South. In Week 13, they handily defeated the Indianapolis Colts — as they should have — 54-19. In Week 14 they had their hands full with the worst team in football, and narrowly edged out the Houston Texans 27-23. For all intents and purposes, their Week 15 bout against the Jaguars should be their biggest test of the three.

Jacksonville has a front seven riddled with high draft capital talents, a quarterback in Trevor Lawrence who seems to have found his footing in the past month (he’s had two 300+ passing yard, 3-touchdown games in two of the past three weeks), and a Super Bowl winning head coach in Doug Pederson.

All things considered, however, Dallas has the edge in total firepower. The Tony Pollard/Ezekiel Elliot duo out of the backfield has become one of the best one-two punches in football, Dak Prescott has passed for multiple touchdowns in five of the eight games he has played this season, and the defense is ranked among the top-five in opponent yards per game, sacks per game, and takeaways per game.

PREDICTION: Cowboys win their fifth straight in Week 15 by a score of 27-21.
