3 Cowboys to blame after overtime loss to Jaguars, No. 2: Cowboys secondary
This is cheating a bit, but when it comes to blame, it should be placed on Dallasā entire secondary. They simply got roasted by the Jacksonvilleās passing attack.
Dallasā secondary is banged up badly, as cornerbacks Anthony Brown and Jourdan Lewis are on the injured reserve. They were tested heavily against Jacksonvilleās passing attack, and couldnāt put a stop to it.
Jaguars receivers found ways to get open, such as Zay Jones getting cornerback Kelvin Joseph to bite on a route, providing him a 59-yard path to the end zone for a touchdown. Things didnāt get any easier for Joseph, as he surrendered another touchdown on the next drive, this time to Marvin Jones Jr.

Kelvin Joseph surrenders a second touchdown on consecutive possessions. Trevor Lawrence to Marvin Jones Jr. Jags convert Dak Prescott INT into a touchdown. Now itās 27-24, Dallas.

It was just an all around bad day for the secondary. There were other instances of wide receivers taking advantage of coverage, like Christian Kirkās 27-yard reception after running past cornerback DaRon Bland.

On the day, the Cowboys gave up 318 receiving yards and four touchdowns to the Jaguars. Three of those touchdowns and 109 of those yards came from Zay Jones.
If Dallas faces off against a deep passing attack in the playoffs, they may be in trouble.
