The Philadelphia Eagles are on their way to the playoffs, and if you take any stock into statistical projections, have incredible Super Bowl odds, too.

The Philadelphia Eagles continue to win. Their Week 15 road victory over the Chicago Bears looked a little shaky at times, but the Birds came out on top, 25-20. With that, they improve to 13-1.

Philly has yet to secure the highly competitive NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys (3 losses) could still make a run for the crown, but Philly has a great opportunity to put an end to that possibility when they face off in Week 16.

But even more than their own game, the Eagles will quickly check the score of the Cowboys game this week. Dallas had a chance to guarantee themselves a spot in the playoffs with a win, but were upset in overtime against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

What it did for the Eagles was huge in terms of Super Bowl probability.

Eagles Super Bowl probability takes a significant leap with Week 15 outcomes

Going into Sunday, the Eagles had a 23% chance of winning the Super Bowl according to FiveThirtyEight’s model. With their win plus the Cowboys loss, the Eagles now have a 26% chance of winning the Super Bowl.

Even better, the path to the big game has gotten a lot easier for the Eagles after this week’s games. Their chance of getting a first-round bye and winning the division is now rated at >99%, making it a near certitude that the Eagles don’t have to play as many games as other teams will to get to the big game.

If the Eagles win next week, they officially secure both the division and the first-round bye, and their Super Bowl win chances increase to 31%.

Right now, the Bills are the next-best team in terms of SB probability at 21%. The next best in the NFC is the Cowboys at 8%.

It’s the Eagles’ conference, and league, to lose.
