3 Patriots to blame for the stupidest loss ever to the Raiders
By John Buhler
These idiots cost the New England Patriots a winnable road game vs. the Las Vegas Raiders.
People make a lot of terrible decisions in Las Vegas, but at least the New England Patriots got to fly home on Sunday.
It’s cool though, really. Many people leave Las Vegas a few dollars short than when they arrived. Skull-rattling hangovers be damned, most people get on a plane and go home from Las Vegas as losers on Sunday anyway. What the Patriots are going through is not anything new, but the manner in which they lost to the Las Vegas Raiders was absolutely undeniable stooge buffoonery.
Alan, Phil and Stu may have found Doug on the roof, but somebody has to be blamed for the mess!
These New England Patriots are why the team lost to the Las Vegas Raiders
Mac Jones sure looked like an Alabama backup quarterback in this game, alright
There are games when Mac Jones looks good, and then there are games when it becomes readily apparent why he was only a one-year starter at Alabama. Yes, he was in the same quarterback room as Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa, but completing 13-of-31 passes for 112 yards was so incredibly Tim Tebow of him. This game was in a dome vs. that Mötley Crüe known as the Raiders.
Yes, he had a touchdown pass from one yard out taken away from him thanks to a most horrific coaching catastrophe, but Jones had to be better. He did a terrible job of keeping up with the Joneses, as his distant cousin Chandler Jones shoved his face into the turf like he would Cousin Mac’s dome into a birthday cake at a family gathering. But did those pellets taste good, though?
Sunday was an ever-present reminder that he is closer to Bubby Brister than he is to Kordell Stewart when it comes to replacing a quarterbacking legend. Though his predecessor’s predecessor is losing his battle vs. time in Tampa, very, very typical for old dudes, to be honest, Jones is probably the second-best Jones quarterbacking a team in an eastern NFL division now.
The last time the Patriots looked this atrocious, they were about to become the St. Louis Stallions.
