Best fantasy football pickups for Week 16: RB Tyler Allgeier, Atlanta Falcons

Rostered: 33.5%

Allgeier surprisingly led the Falcons’ backfield on Sunday. He had a team-high 17 carries for 139 yards and a touchdown. His performance was highlighted by a 43-yard rush down the sideline.

The rookie has been quietly building momentum over the past few weeks. He eclipsed 50 rushing yards in each of his prior three games. Moving forward, Allgeier should continue to play a role in the Falcons’ offense, but it is difficult to trust him to be the team’s leading rusher, once again. On Sunday, Cordarrelle Patterson had 14 carries for 52 yards and a touchdown, and he led the Falcons’ running backs in offensive snaps.

Nevertheless, Allgeier is definitely worth rostering.
