Kirby Smart will get another behemoth in the trenches with Jordan Hall at Georgia
No matter how many defensive lineman Georgia sends to the NFL, it feels like Kirby Smart has an army of former top recruits lined up ready to take over and continue the Bulldogsā dominance on that side of the ball. Jordan Hall could be one of the next guys to fill that void.
Coming in at a listed 6-foot-5, 300 pounds, heās not only a beastly man with a big frame in the middle, but his length is incredibly rare with a reported 84-inch wingspan. He has already shown some development with pass-rush moves on the interior but can still develop further to best use his length as he also adds some mass.
The Jacksonville, FL nativeās final visit before committing on Dec. 22 was to Athens and Georgia and it seems like thatās where the most likely destination is. Given the history of the Dawgs and adding defensive talent, it feels foolish to think he doesnāt end up with a āGā on the side of his helmet.
Jordan HallĀ is set to announce his commitment on Dec. 22 at 2:30 p.m. ET.
Matayo Uiagalelei is a wild card coming into Early Signing Day, but USC will pull it off
For some time, there were a lot of assumptions made about where Matayo Uiagalelei would land based on the fact that he and former 5-star QB and Clemson signal-caller D.J. Uiagalelei, Matayoās brother, might desire to play together. That, however, is looking less likely as the quarterback seems unlikely to end up at any of the expected top four contenders for the 2023 edge rusher: Ohio State, Oregon, USC and Alabama.
With that in mind, I do believe that DJUās college career to this point could very well color the decision for the 5-star edge rusher. Clemson was not kind to the quarterback as he moved across the country to join Dabo Swinneyās team. When you then factor in that Lincoln Riley is surely wanting to address the porous USC defense, my best guess is that he stays on the west coast and signs with USC on Wednesday.
Matayo UiagaleleiĀ has committed to the Oregon Ducks.
