With three games to go, we look at whether or not the Seattle Seahawks will make it into the 2022 NFL Postseason by predicting their fate.

As it stands, the NFC playoff picture is anything but complete. The Seattle Seahawks sit at 7-7 entering Week 16, good for no. 8 in the conference just behind the 7-6-1 Washington Commanders and 8-5-1 New York Giants.

The Seahawks started out this season with a whole lot more “oomph” than even the most optimist Seattle fan would have expected.

This was supposed to be a year in which the Seahawks competed for the number one overall draft pick, but here they are, in the thick of the playoff picture.

For the Seahawks to get into the postseason, though, they’ll have to survive a gauntlet, starting right away in Week 16.

Seattle Seahawks at Kansas City Chiefs Week 16 prediction

There is no quarterback playing better this season than Patrick Mahomes. One could argue Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen or maybe even Tua Tagovailoa earlier in the year. But, week in and week out, Mahomes has been brilliant.

At 11-3, the Chiefs are alive and well for the AFC’s number one seed, just under the Buffalo Bills who hold the same record. Kansas City will undoubtedly be at its best, gunning for that top spot.

While Seattle certainly has a lot at stake, this is an instance where the better team will, in fact, win. When it matters most, Mahomes rarely misses, and this could get ugly.

Seattle, losers of two in a row, will go on to lose a third-straight contest, unfortunately. Geno will have his moments, but Mahomes and that offense will be overwhelming in a home victory for the Chiefs.

Prediction: Kansas City 38 Seattle 20
