5 biggest NFL Pro Bowl snubs that fans should be upset about, No. 4: James Bradberry, CB, Philadelphia Eagles
The Philadelphia Eagles had eight players named to the Pro Bowl, which is the most for any team this year. Despite all of the additions, there was one player on the defensive side of the ball that was snubbed. That is cornerback James Bradberry.
After getting released by the New York Giants, the Eagles swooped in to sign him to a one-year, $7.25 million contract. The move has paid dividends for Philadelphia, as he paired alongside Darius Slay as the top corners on their stacked defense.
Through 14 games, Bradberry recorded 31 solo tackles, four assisted tackles, 14 passes defended (second-most in NFL, most in NFC) and three interceptions (one returned for touchdown). In coverage, Bradberry has surrendered just 33 receptions for 273 yards and a touchdown on 73 targets, per Pro Football Reference.
Cornerbacks who have made the Pro Bowl out of the NFC include Darius Slay, Trevon Diggs of the Dallas Cowboys, Jaire Alexander of the Green Bay Packers, and Tariq Woolen of the Seattle Seahawks.
5 biggest NFL Pro Bowl snubs that fans should be upset about, No. 3: Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers
Given how many great quarterbacks there are in the AFC, there is always going to be controversy as to who should make it into the Pro Bowl. This year, it was Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs, Joe Burrow of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills.
Los Angeles Chargers star Justin Herbert missed out on the cut.
Herbert is having a phenomenal season for the Chargers, as he helped them get into prime playoff position this year. He did, after all, just led the team to a late victory over the Tennessee Titans this past weekend.
Through 15 weeks, Herbert recorded the second-most passing yards in the entire NFL with 4,019, and the fifth-highest completion percentage (67.5) in the league (second-highest among AFC quarterbacks). Overall, Herbert has 21 passing touchdowns and nine interceptions.
Again, with how many great quarterbacks there are in the conference, there are bound to be some noteworthy snubs. Herbert just so happens to be the one who failed to make it to the Pro Bowl this time around.
