2. Why Vikings Super Bowl hype is worth buying into: They have beaten other contenders

The Vikings are 11-3, and they have not achieved that record by only playing easy opponents. The Vikings should be considered contenders because they have beaten other contenders. Earlier this season, they defeated the Miami Dolphins 24-16. The Dolphins are currently in playoff position, and they are third in the NFL in passing yards per game (273.6).

In November, they had a signature win over the Buffalo Bills 33-30. With 41 seconds left in the fourth quarter, they recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown. They went on to win in overtime on a 33-yard field goal by Greg Joseph. The Bills have the best record (11-3) and scoring differential (+135) in the AFC. If the Vikings are capable of defeating the Bills and Dolphins, why can’t they make a playoff run in the NFC?

The Vikings have played at a Super Bowl level this season. All they need to do is replicate it during the postseason.
