3 reasons Georgia is overwhelming favorite to repeat

2. No team can match Georgia’s speed, depth or ability to out-execute another
At this point of the season, all remaining teams left in the national championship picture have great players and outstanding head coaches. Otherwise, why would they even be in this situation? But what separates Georgia from Michigan, TCU and Ohio State is the Dawgs’ overall speed with which it plays, the overall depth their roster possesses and its elite ability to out-execute anyone.
Ohio State may be the closest to matching UGA’s speed, but the Buckeyes’ depth has taken a hit in recent weeks and they are the least likely team to execute at a proficiently high level for extended stretches. The Buckeyes could finally put it all together, but playing in front of a mostly pro-UGA crowd in Atlanta is going to make things all the more difficult for Ohio State to pull off this upset.
As for TCU, the Horned Frogs can execute a game plan with the best of them, but they are severely lacking depth and do not have anywhere near the speed that the Dawgs have should they meet in Los Angeles. And with Michigan, the Wolverines are the closest approximation to UGA, but their speed is not on Georgia’s level and the Wolverines may not have the depth of the Bulldogs’ roster.
To beat the Dawgs, you have to be fast, physical, deep and tactically sound at any and all levels.
