With WrestleMania 39 taking place this April, can wrestling fans expect big stars like The Rock, John Cena, and Logan Paul to appear at the show?

WrestleMania 39, WWE’s two-night premium live event, will be taking place at SoFi Stadium near Hollywood on Apr. 1 and 2. With the New Year just beginning and the Royal Rumble taking place Jan. 28, fans are speculating and anticipating what the big matches will take place at WrestleMania. Perhaps the biggest questions are, will Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, John Cena, or Logan Paul make an appearance at the big show.

Fightful Select (subscription required) reported that while WWE wants “The Rock” and Paul to appear at WrestleMania, the outlet didn’t receive confirmation that they would show up.

As for Cena, Fightful Select says that his status for the event is also unknown. However, they did note that while recent “internal conversation” moved away from Austin Theory to Paul as potential opponents, there have been a variety of top stars pushing to work with Cena dating back to last July. In fact, one of the pitches the outlet learned of at that time was for Cena to face Cody Rhodes, but they haven’t heard any updates since the regime changed from Vince McMahon running creative to Triple H.

Will The Rock, John Cena, and Logan Paul wrestle at WWE WrestleMania 39?

“The Rock” has long been planned to take on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 39. Considering Reigns is the Undisputed WWE Universal champion, the title will undoubtedly be on the line. But, there has yet to be confirmation from various outlets whether the wrestler-turned-actor would return for his first full match since WrestleMania 29 back in 2013.

Cena recently made his return on the Dec. 30 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, where he teamed up with Kevin Owens to take on Reigns and Sami Zayn in the main event. Cena and Owens were victorious after Cena hit an Attitude Adjustment on Reigns, and Owens pinned Zayn with a Stunner.

Rhodes, on the other hand, is recovering from a torn pectoral muscle suffered last June. He notably competed with the torn muscle against Seth Rollins in a Hell in a Cell match at the titular event, and received universal acclaim.

As for Paul, he last wrestled for WWE back in October, where he lost an Undisputed WWE Universal Championship match against Reigns at Crown Jewel.

We should get a clearer picture of the WrestleMania plans once we get closer to the Royal Rumble. After all, that is the show when we find out who will be challenging for the Undisputed WWE Universal title or the Raw/SmackDown Women’s title at WrestleMania.
