Bart Scott crossed a line when blaming Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins for the horrific injury sustained by Bills safety Damar Hamlin.
Skip Bayless had the worst take of the night when it came to the horrific ordeal of Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin. The day is reserved for Bart Scott.
On Tuesday’s edition of First Take, Scott spoke about the ordeal that took place on Monday Night Football and essentially blamed Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins for the ordeal surrounding Hamlin in which Hamlin collapsed and is now in critical condition.
Here’s the clip of Bart Scott accusing Tee Higgins of lowering his helmet on the play (which is a flat out lie).

Not sure how @espn is just okay with this harmful accusation and misinformation.
Thanks to @NifeDamac for tracking this down. pic.twitter.com/MK8rYyFStH
Needless to say, this was pathetic, disgraceful, and warranted heavy criticism. The social media world obliged and let Scott have it.
Bart Scott and Skip Bayless both showed their true colors over the last 18 hours. Neither should have a job in television

Bart Scott is on ESPN actually blaming Tee Higgins for "lowering his helmet" into the player. Which did not happen.

Dude has a weird vendetta against the Bengals but this is taking it too far.
Bart Scott is disgusting and doesn’t deserve to have a job @espn do better

Bart Scott talking about ravens putting Red Dot on bengals and Joe Burrow now blaming a bengal for hurting someone. Interesting takes

Between asking the Ravens to put a bounty on Joe Burrow last season to blaming Tee Higgins for the injury last night, I could not be more disgusted by the vile and hateful words used by Bart Scott.

It's shameful that @espn gives him a platform for his violent language.
I just saw the clip.

This is disgusting of @BartScott57 to try to pin what happened on a routine play on Tee Higgins.
Tee has been through so much this season already and I’m certain he’s shaken by what happened last night.
To say this on national TV about him is disgusting. https://t.co/2AuNHuAt1c
Bengals fans were justifiably outraged at Bart Scott’s comments
This isn’t the first time Bart Scott has acted this unprofessional towards Bengals players. Few will forget the “red dot” incident that Scott brought up in reference to the Ravens’ defense going after Joe Burrow. By reading closer, it sounded more like a bounty, which was called out immediately, as was this.
Additionally, the incident of Skip Bayless and his tweet was compared to Scott. Realistically speaking, both have the same value, as the comments were despicable and unwarranted. This is not about a game; this is about a man’s life. Sometimes, power corrupts reasonability.
Unfortunately, Scott didn’t seem to get that message and instead chose to take a hot-take route that was uncalled for and rightfully blasted. Good on the NFL world for coming together and calling out the analyst for a comment that had no business in being spoken, given the precarious state of affairs.
