New Japan Pro Wrestling’s annual Jan. 4 event, Wrestle Kingdom, will run for the 17th time this Wednesday, featuring a double main event of Jay White vs. Kazuchika Okada and Will Ospreay vs. Kenny Omega.

On every Jan. 4, New Japan Pro Wrestling holds their biggest event of the year, Wrestle Kingdom, at the Tokyo Dome. This Wednesday, NJPW presents Wrestle Kingdom 17, and it features a huge card of huge matches.

The main event of the show will be Jay White defending his IWGP World Heavyweight championship against Kazuchika Okada, the winner of 2022 G1 Climax. Another big match near the top of the card is Will Ospreay defending his IWGP US Heavyweight championship against All Elite Wrestling’s and former IWGP Heavyweight champion Kenny Omega.

Other matches on the card include AEW’s FTR defending the IWGP Tag Team championships against Bishamon, WWE’s Karl Anderson defending the NEVER Openweight title against Tama Tonga, and Kairi defending the IWGP Women’s championship against Tam Nakano.

Wrestle Kingdom 17 will honor wrestling legend Antonio Inoki, who passed away on Oct. 1 at the age of 79.
