The Georgia Bulldogs are one win over TCU away from repeating as national champions.

All that stands between the Georgia Bulldogs and a perfect national championship-winning season are the TCU Horned Frogs.

The reigning national and SEC champions will meet Big 12 runner-up TCU at SoFi Stadium in Greater Los Angeles on Monday night. While TCU has absolutely earned the right to play in a championship game like this, there are so many reasons why the Dawgs are a massive favorite to repeat in the national title bout. Of course, there are still 60 minutes of football left to be played…

Here are three bold predictions that are absolutely happening when the Dawgs take on the Frogs.

Georgia: 3 bold predictions vs. TCU in national championship game

3. Jalen Carter, pass rush make plays on Max Duggan it could not on C.J. Stroud

One of the biggest reasons why Ohio State probably should have beaten Georgia in the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl last Saturday night was because of how well the Buckeyes offensive line played. Bookend tackles Paris Johnson Jr. and Dawand Jones did an incredible job of mitigating the Georgia pass rush, which gave star quarterback C.J. Stroud plenty of time to deliver strikes to his receivers.

Although TCU has a Heisman Trophy finalist at quarterback as well in Max Duggan, the Horned Frogs’ offensive line may not hold up as well as the Buckeyes did in the Peach Bowl. In short, the TCU front-five will have to play the game of its life to keep the likes of Jalen Carter at bay. Not to say Carter will make all the plays he did not in the Peach Bowl, but Georgia will provide pressure.

Ultimately, Georgia will have to account for Duggan’s inherent mobility. Stroud ran the ball more effectively than he had at any point in his college career. However, this is where the Dawgs will have a massive advantage over TCU. The Horned Frogs may be fast, physical, well-coached and very battle-tested, but they do not have the depth Georgia has from an overall roster standpoint.

Expect for a few of those narrow misses to now be tackles for a loss and timely quarterback sacks.
