What Seed Are the Chiefs?
With a win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday, January 7th, the Kansas City Chiefs officially secured the No. 1 seed in the AFC. They’ll get a bye week as an advantage, but they won’t have home field guaranteed through the postseason. If they face off against the Bills in the AFC Championship, the game will be played on a neutral site since the two teams played an unequal amount of games.
Buffalo’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals was postponed and subsequently canceled after Damar Hamlin went into cardiac arrest on the field. Hamlin has since been awake and in recovery.
