Mattress Mack’s wallet takes a major hit with insane TCU bet
Notable big-money bettor Mattress Mack took a huge hit betting on the TCU Horned Frogs in the National Championship Game over Georgia.
Mattress Mack, also known as Jim McIngvale, won a ridiculous amount of money betting on the Astros to win the World Series. So he has money to blow.
Well, he blew some of it on Monday night after placing a $3 million bet on TCU against Georgia in the national title game.
It would have been more entertaining for him to take that $3 million and set it on fire.

McIngvale dropped a hype video for his big bet. It backfired big time as Georgia throttled the Horned Frogs in the most lopsided championship game in college football history.
This marks the second straight year Mattress Mack has missed on his college football championship bet. He put even more money on Alabama.
Basically, what we’ve learned is that McIngvale should stop betting against Georgia. It’s cost him a whole lot of money.
Of course, $3 million, or even $9.2 million, is a pittance compared to the $75 million he made betting on the Astros.
So maybe the play is to stick to betting on baseball. His Super Bowl bet of $4.5 million on the Bengals to beat the Rams last year didn’t go so well either.
Georgia extended no mercy to TCU. They jumped out to a 38-7 lead at halftime and cruised to a 65-7 victory. Stetson Bennett threw four touchdown passes while tight end Brock Bowers was unstoppable with seven catches for 152 yards and a touchdown.
They’re the first back-to-back champions in the College Football Playoff era. And we’re going to bet if they go for third next year, Mattress Mack might think twice about putting money on their opponent.
