4. Anthony Davis

Before he was injured, Anthony Davis was having an MVP-type season. The high point was when he scored 55 points and shot 73 percent from the field, as the Lakers were able to beat the Wizards at home on Dec. 4. Davis was also able to finish the game with 17 rebounds.

Before the injury, Davis was going off and proving why the Lakers should trade first-round picks for players who could help them win now. His injury may change their deadline plans. Based on his play and the continued greatness of LeBron James, there were strong arguments for the Lakers to trade their future picks for moves that will help them in present.

The AD injury has complicated those arguments but fans, media pundits, and most importantly the Lakers front office know that LeBron James and Anthony Davis are still top-tier talents in this league and it might make sense to get them some help.
