What are the key stats for NBA teams in the Southeast Division?

Charlotte Hornets: Is the offense buzzing?

When the Hornets score 120+ points this season, they are 7-3. When the Hornets’ offense scores less than 120 points, they are a putrid 4-27.

The Hornets currently have the worst offensive rating in the league. Last year they were in the top 10 at No. 8. LaMelo Ball missing 24 games already this season sure hasn’t helped.

Orlando Magic: Is Markelle Fultz playing?

With Markelle Fultz in the lineup, the Magic are 10-9. Without Fultz, the Magic are 5-16.

Since making his season debut on Nov. 30, Fultz’s shot creation has drastically changed the pace and flow of the Magic offense.

Washington Wizards: Did the defense show up?

When the Wizards hold opponents to 112 points or less, they are 16-5 this season. The Wiz are a staggering 1-18 in all other games.

Bonus: The Wizards are 14-10 with Rui Hachimura in the lineup and 3-13 without him.

Atlanta Hawks: Is the offense soaring?

When the Hawks score 117+ points this season, they are 14-5. When the Hawks’ offense scores less than 117 points, they are the polar opposite 5-16.

Bonus: When Trae Young scores 30+ points, the Hawks are 9-6. But when Trae has 12+ assists, they are 8-3.

Miami Heat: Is the zone defense clamping?

When the Heat hold their opponent to 110 points or fewer, they are 16-7. But when the Heat defense allows more than 110 points, they are 5-13.

Despite playing an insane amount of zone, the Heat currently have a top-10 defense at No. 8 on the season.
