The line movement for the Dolphins-Bills playoff game has people wondering if Tua Tagovailoa will be available for Miami.

The Dolphins may have made it into the playoffs but their hopes of actually pulling off an upset win over the Bills to advance to the next round hinges on the health of Tua Tagovailoa.

With Tagovailoa, Miami has a chance. Without him, they’ll likely be fodder for Josh Allen and Buffalo.

That’s why the line for the game opened at double-digits in favor of the Bills. Now that line is tightening and speculation has begun.

Does Dolphins-Bills line movement hint at Tua Tagovailoa’s status?

Different sportsbooks have different odds but the trend seems to be towards a shrinking line, down as low as 8.5 points in some places.

Since the vast majority of bets have been placed on Buffalo, it’s odd that the line has gotten smaller instead of bigger.

That’s why people on Twitter think the movement has something to do with Tagovailoa possibly clearing concussion protocol.

If he were to be cleared, his presence would be a good reason for oddsmakers to move their line, even though his performance in his four most recent starts was far below the standard he set earlier in the season.

Of course, Tagovailoa has not been cleared yet, so all of this is still just speculation.

Mike Florio threw cold water on the idea of Tagovailoa playing even if he does clear protocols.

“Even if the doctors clear Tua to play against Buffalo, [team owner Stephen] Ross has to sign off on it. It’s hard to imagine Ross letting it happen,” Florio wrote on Tuesday night.

Florio is also speculating on that one as well.

The fact is, no one knows for sure what will happen with Tagovailoa this week. So Dolphins fans will simply have to wait to see what goes on with their quarterback and his status for the playoff game.
