The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to snap a six-game skid on Tuesday night against the Dallas Mavericks, but they are expected to be without Paul George in this game.

The Mavericks have some injury concerns of their own. Josh Green and Dorian Finney-Smith are out, and Luka Doncic is listed as questionable with an ankle injury. Doncic’s status could really sway this game, but he did sit out a recent Mavs game for rest purposes, which gives me confidence that he suits up tonight.

Los Angeles has really struggled on offense this season, ranking 28th in the NBA in offensive rating, and it’s struggled to find chemistry with George and Leonard in and out of the lineup all season.

Do the Clippers turn things around at home against a Mavs team that has jumped into the top four in the West over the last month?

Mavericks vs. Clippers prediction and pick

Even though the Mavericks have been worse on the road this season, I like them to win this game, provided that Doncic does end up playing.

The Mavericks are an elite 3-point shooting team this season (third in the league in 3s made per game) and rank seventh in the NBA in offensive rating.

The Clippers have been great on defense (sixth in defensive rating), but I question if they have the offensive firepower to keep up with Dallas. The Mavericks have a great equalizer in Doncic, and they play an extremely efficient offense despite ranking 29th in the league in pace.

The Clippers’ recent skid has been troubling, especially since the team has lost to a few borderline playoff teams in the Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Atlanta Hawks on this stretch.

Dallas has been one of the better teams in the NBA since the start of December, and I think that continues on the road tonight.
