Ranking NFL quarterbacks based on 2022: 15. Lamar Jackson, Ravens
What a weird season for Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, who are indeed playoff bound. Jackson began the final year of his contract without a deal, betting on himself. It began looking great for Jackson, as he is surely going to get paid this offseason. But, the price tag of said deal definitely dipped just a bit after Jackson finished his second-straight season with injury.
During the regular season, Jackson went 8-4 as the starter, throwing for 2,242 yards, 17 touchdowns and just seven picks. Of course, he did some damage on the ground too, rushing for 764 yards and three scores. It was his most efficient year on the ground since 2019, averaging 6.8 yards per tote.
One area that the Ravens should look at when measuring his value this offseason is his on-target percentage, which was the second-highest of his career this year at 75.4 percent. Is he always going to light it up through the air? Of course not. That’s not who he is. But, is he capable of doing so? Absolutely.
Hopefully, he can get healthy enough for a postseason run and is able to cash in big time in the spring.
