Ranking NFL quarterbacks based on 2022: 13. Aaron Rodgers, Packers
Did we just witness the end of an era in Green Bay? Aaron Rodgers and the Packers were eliminated at home, in prime time, by a division rival in Week 18. Rodgers finishes the year with one of his worst statistical seasons since 2008.
He threw for 3,695 yards, which was the lowest number for any season Rodgers has played at least 15 games. He did throw 26 touchdown passes, which is fine. But, Rodgers threw the most interceptions in a season since 2008, finishing with 12 picks — and none more significant than the one which ended his team’s season against the Lions.
Following the game, Rodgers admitted he would have to think about his future and left it up to how he is feeling in the coming weeks and months. It looks like we’re going to be in for yet another offseason full of Rodgers retirement rumors, among other possibilities for his future.
For now, Packers fans can relish in one last season witnessing one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever walk the earth. Was it his last in the green and gold? We’ll find out soon enough.
