Taking a look at the updated NFL Playoff bracket after a wild Super Wild Card Weekend Saturday concluding with the Jaguars stunning the Chargers.

Drama lives in the postseason and we saw that on Saturday night to kick off Super Wild Card Weekend and already get the NFL Playoff bracket looking pretty darn enticing. After the 49ers ousted the Seahawks to start the day, the Jaguars and Chargers had a ton of action ahead.

Trevor Lawrence started his first playoff game as poorly as possible, throwing three interceptions in the first quarter and four in the first half as the Chargers jumped out to a massive lead. But then LA tried to sit on that lead and it backfired. Lawrence and Travis Etienne righted the ship and clawed back.

After a ballsy two-point conversion attempt and conversion cut the lead to 30-28, the Jags got a stop and then drove into field goal range to drill the game-winner home as time expired. Now Jacksonville is advancing with the Bolts losing all electricity.

Updated NFL Playoff bracket after Jaguars come back to upend Chargers

AFC Playoff Bracket

  • (7) Miami Dolphins at (2) Buffalo Bills – Sunday, Jan. 15, 1 p.m. ET
  • (6) Baltimore Ravens at (3) Cincinnati Bengals – Sunday, Jan. 15, 8:15 p.m. ET
  • (4) Jacksonville Jaguars, 31 def. (5) Los Angeles Chargers, 30

If Sunday holds even half the drama of Saturday, the AFC is about to get wild.

Now, the Jaguars are advancing but have no clue who their playoff opponent will be at this point. If both the Bills and Bengals win, then Jacksonville will go on the road to face the Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. But if either the Dolphins or Ravens were to win, then Jacksonville would face the highest remaining seed. If both underdogs won, Jacksonville would host the highest remaining seed.

NFC Playoff Bracket

  • (2) San Francisco 49ers, 41 def. (7) Seattle Seahawks, 23
  • (6) New York Giants at (3) Minnesota Vikings – Sunday, Jan. 15, 4:30 p.m. ET
  • (5) Dallas Cowboys at (4) Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Monday, Jan. 16, 8:15 p.m. ET

The 49ers and Seahawks rekindled their NFC West magic on Saturday but San Francisco proved it’s in another gear right now as the high-powered offense pulled away for a huge victory.

San Francisco knows that it won’t be facing the Philadelphia Eagles in the next round but their Divisional Round opponent has yet to be set. If the Vikings were to win at home against the Giants, then Minnesota would be locked in to travel to San Francisco. However, the 49ers could face either the Cowboys or the Buccaneers winner if the Giants were to pull off the upset.
