NFL Playoffs: 5 bold predictions for Vikings vs. Giants
By Ryan Heckman
3. Justin Jefferson gets close to Vikings single-game record but falls short
Justin Jefferson continues to cement his name in Vikings franchise history every week it seems. He’s already broken a few records, but one monumental record still awaits to be broken by the LSU product.
Minnesota’s single-game receiving record for any game is held by Anthony Carter, who tallied a ridiculous 227 receiving yards in a 1987 Divisional Playoff versus the San Francisco 49ers.
In Jefferson’s first matchup with the Giants, he torched them for 133 yards on 12 catches. Jefferson was tied for a team-high 16 targets in that game, too, so he and Kirk Cousins had it rolling.
There have been many games this year where Jefferson seemingly does whatever he wants, and this one will be no different. In fact, Jefferson is going to top the 200-yard mark on the day.
Bold prediction for Jefferson’s stat line against the Giants: 14 receptions (17 targets) for 204 yards and two touchdowns.
