Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin is watching the team’s postseason game from home as he recovers from a heart attack suffered on the field.

Damar Hamlin’s recovery is an inspiration to all football fans. At the time of his injury, many wondered whether Hamlin’s life could be saved, let alone whether he’d be able to recover and potentially play again.

While that conversation is still a ways off (and rightly so), Hamlin is watching his team from home. The Buffalo Bills took on the Miami Dolphins in the Wild Card round, and you best believe they’re playing with No. 3 on their minds.

Hamlin wished his team luck prior to the opening kickoff.

As much as Hamlin wishes he were playing on Sunday, he knows it’s for the best that he is recovering from home. Hamlin’s livelihood will play second fiddle from here on out.

Everything Damar Hamlin said during Bills game

That was far from Hamlin’s only comment during Wild Card weekend, as he’s been active on social media.

In a game with so many ups and downs, Hamlin was taken on an emotional roller coaster, and it showed on his Twitter account.

Hamlin visited the Bills facility last week to see his teammates. Matt Milano posted a photo of Hamlin on his instagram, which confirmed he had been in Orchard Park earlier that day. Quarterback Josh Allen spoke of how encouraging Hamlin has been, and how his teammates are ensuring he’s taking it easy for now.

“Just making sure he’s taking it slow, and obviously trying to get back to being himself,” Allen said. “So we’ll take all the time that we need. But I hope he knows the guys are ready to see him.”

Hopefully Hamlin’s condition continues to improve in the weeks to come.
