Predicting the best free agent the Cincinnati Bengals will sign: Marcus Peters, CB

Speaking of teams who need offensive line help, the Cincinnati Bengals still fall into that category after Joe Burrow was sacked a total of 41 times over the 2022 season. While the Bengals will likely continue addressing their offensive line, they will do that in the draft for the most part.

In free agency, the Bengals need to address their secondary, which continues to be a middling group in the league. This year, the Bengals finished as the no. 17 overall pass defense in terms of yardage given up. They finished with 13 interceptions as a unit, which was good for 18th in the league.

One thing this defense needs desperately is a ball hawk at cornerback, and Marcus Peters is certainly that type. What makes this signing that much more intriguing is the fact that Cincinnati would be taking him away from a division rival in the Ravens.

Peters is just now 30 years old as of January with a few more years left in him. Over his eight years in the NFL, he’s come up with a total of 32 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles and seven defensive touchdowns. That’s the type of player Cincinnati needs to add to this defense.
