1. Chicago Sky

The best option in the offseason for EM would be re-signing with Chicago. Last season, she started all 36 games for the Sky. While in Washington, Meesseman started for a few seasons but then migrated to a reserve role.

Chicago has a strong core in place which consists of Kahleah Copper, Quigley (if she re-signs), Vandersloot (if she re-signs), and Parker (if she re-signs). Although Chicago was not successful in defending their championship title, they have a chance to recalibrate for this season.

The Sky can reload for the 2023 season and challenge the league as a whole if they re-sign all of their free agents. With a low salary cap and a strong coaching staff, the Sky have a chance to be a contender in 2023 and Meesseman could be a big part of that.
