Mattress Mack put a significant wager on the Cowboys to beat the 49ers this weekend.

Mattress Mack is back at it again, folks. The famous sports bettor who won the largest known legal sports bet when the Houston Astros won the World Series has now placed $2 million the Dallas Cowboys to beat the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the NFL playoffs.

“I got a lot of Caesar’s rewards points thanks to Caesar’s” he joked.

“All I gotta say is, how bout them Cowboys? Go Cowboys!” he said after the bet slip came through.

Mattress Mack’s sports betting strategy

The bet here essentially doubles as a promotional option for his customers. For this bet, for instance, Mack is offering any customer who spends $3,000 or more on a mattress before the game to get their money refunded if the Cowboys win.

Texas Monthly covered the fairly simple Mattress Mack strategy for his massive bets. He comes out a winner either way if the math works out. If the bet wins, he makes a profit so long as customers didn’t spend more than the net profit on the sportsbook bet itself. And if the bet loses, as long as customers bought enough to cover the cost of the bet, it’s a break even.

Right now most sportsbooks have the 49ers as a favorite. San Fran is the host team after all, and Dak Prescott simply hasn’t looked as hot as Mr. Irrelevant, Brock Purdy, who will be starting for the 49ers. Not to mention the Niners’ decision to trade for Christian McCaffrey set their offense up to be even more dangerous.

Most recently, Mack took a huge L on a bet for TCU to win the national title game. Do with that info what you will when you decide whether or not to tail him on this wager.

Just remember, if you’ve got money on the line, you probably don’t have as much as Mattress Mack. That could be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the perspective you choose to take.

The Cowboys and Niners play on Sunday.
