The latest update to the NFL playoff bracket has the Eagles in the NFC Championship Game after comfortably defeating the Giants.

The Eagles stormed through the NFC this year, only stumbling in the final few weeks of the season with quarterback Jalen Hurts injured.

Hurts came back for the regular-season finale against the Giants and led his team to victory. He delivered the same outcome in Saturday’s NFC Divisional Round game, though far more emphatically.

Philadelphia blasted New York, silencing OBJ and winning 38-7 to lock in a place in the NFC Championship Game. Now they just have to wait for their opponent.

Updated NFL Playoff bracket after Eagles punch NFC Championship ticket

Divisional Round

  • AFC No. 1 Kansas City Chiefs beat No. 4 Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-20
  • NFC No. 1 Philadelphia Eagles beat No. 6 New York Giants, 38-7
  • AFC No. 2 Buffalo Bills vs. No. 3 Cincinnati Bengals
  • NFC No. 2 San Francisco 49ers vs. No. 5 Dallas Cowboys

Conference Championships

  • AFC Championship Game:
    • Chiefs vs. Bills/Bengals
  • NFC Championship Game:
    • Eagles vs. 49ers/Cowboys

Two of the four spots in the conference title games have now been set with both No. 1 seeds taking care of business to advance. The Chiefs beat the Jaguars, 27-20, in the earlier kickoff on Saturday.

The Eagles didn’t mess around. They jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and limited the Giants to just one touchdown in the second half. Hurts threw two touchdowns and rushed for another. Former New York cornerback James Bradberry had the perfect revenge game with an interception.

Philadelphia will take on the winner of Sunday’s matchup between the 49ers and Cowboys in the NFC title game. They split their series with Dallas in the regular season, only losing with Gardner Minshew at the helm instead of Hurts. They haven’t seen the 49ers since a 17-11 loss early in 2021.

The last time the Eagles made it to the NFC Championship Game they went on to win Super Bowl LII over the Patriots.
