Dak Prescott answered the call in the Wild Card Round against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Cowboys fans wondered whether or not he could put that atrocious Week 18 performance behind him and earn a postseason victory over the greatest quarterback to ever play the game.
In the end, that’s exactly what Dak was able to do, defeating Tom Brady and the Bucs on Monday night. It was a dominant performance by Dallas, who won the game 31-14. Dak finished 25-of-33 for 305 yards passing, four touchdowns and zero interceptions.
It was just the performance he needed, and at just the right time.
Meanwhile, the 49ers took care of business against the Seattle Seahawks, thanks to a total of four touchdowns from “Mr. Irrelevant” himself, Brock Purdy. San Francisco is firing on all cylinders, even though they’re on their third quarterback this season. Now, Purdy will look to continue the magic against one of the most ferocious defenses in football.
What is the all-time series between the Cowboys and 49ers?
The current all-time series stands at 19-18-1, with the Cowboys just narrowly ahead. The last time these teams met? Last year in the Wild Card Round, where the 49ers won by a score of 23-17. Dallas will look for revenge this year after falling just short a year ago.
