NBA All-Star Game locations: 2023, 2024 and beyond

The 2023 NBA All-Star Game takes place on Sunday, Feb. 19. Here is which venue will host the event this year, and in 2024 and beyond.

The NBA is entering the midway point of the 2022-23 season. On Sunday, Feb. 19, the league will hold its annual All-Star Game, where the top players in each conference will face off.

On Tuesday, Jan. 24, the NBA released a statement informing that the All-Star Game draft lottery will now be held on the day of the event, a first for the league. In that very statement, the league said that the starters and captains of the Eastern and Western Conference would be revealed on Thursday, Jan. 26. The captains will be the starters who received the most fan votes from each conference.

Last year, the All-Star Game was held in Cleveland, Ohio, where Team LeBron James defeated Team Kevin Durant 163-160.

Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the Jazz, will host the 2023 NBA All-Star Game. This is the first time that Salt Lake City will hold the event since 1993.

Tipoff for the event will take place at 8:00 p.m. ET on Sunday, Feb. 19.

Where will future NBA All-Star Games be held?

There is only one confirmed location for future All-Star Games. In 2024, Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. will host the event. This will be the second time Indianapolis will host this event, as they did so back in 1985 at the RCA Dome, former home of the NFL’s Colts.

As of this writing, there are no confirmed venues for NBA All-Star Games in 2025 and beyond.

According to TNT and Bleacher Report senior NBA insider Chris Haynes reported recently that the Boston Celtics are prepared to make a bid to host the 2026 NBA All-Star Game. Boston had not hosted an All-Star Game since 1964.
