WWE Royal Rumble winners: Every Rumble match winner and their fate
By Scott Rogust
The winner of WWE’s Royal Rumble match will earn a championship match of their choosing at WrestleMania. Let’s look at the men’s and women’s winners and how they fared at WrestleMania.
It’s officially WrestleMania season. At the end of January, the road to the biggest show of the year begins at the Royal Rumble. At the event, fans will see who will challenge for the men’s and women’s world championships at WrestleMania by way of winning the Royal Rumble match.
Since 1993, the winner of the Royal Rumble match earns a world title match at that year’s WrestleMania. In 2018, WWE introduced a women’s Royal Rumble match, with the winner challenging for a women’s title of their choosing. The way to do so is to win the 30 (or more)-person over the top rope battle royal, with the winner being the last person remaining in the match.
Considering the lengthy history of the Royal Rumble, let’s take a look at every winner since 1993, and how they fared in their WrestleMania match.
