National Signing Day 2023: Predicting where Top 10 unsigned recruits land
By John Buhler
Predicting where the top 10 unsigned recruits will end up signing on National Signing Day.
While most of the top college football prospects have already put pen to paper, there are a handful of high school stars who remain unsigned heading into National Signing Day on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
For college football head coaches, this is all about finalizing their respective recruiting classes. To be fair, nearly all of the work has been done. The bulk of the players have not only signed their national letters of intent, but have enrolled a semester early at their preferred school of choice. Of course, there are still a handful of top-300 recruits out there that great coaches are still trying to flip.
These are the top 10 unsigned high school prospects heading into National Signing Day 2023.

10. Taeshaun Lyons: Wide Receiver, Tennyson (Hayward, CA)
Taeshaun Lyons is the No. 17 overall player from California, the No. 34 wide receiver in the country and the No. 225 recruit in the 2023 class. The four-star wideout from Hayward, California is 6-foot-2.5 and 165 pounds. Lyons had 24 offers, including Colorado, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Washington. He only visited Notre Dame and Washington before committing to the Huskies.
While the allure of playing for Deion Sanders at Colorado could be enticing, Washington had been in on Lyons earlier than pretty much all Power Five programs of their stature. He was offered on March 4, 2022 before committing to the Huskies on Dec. 16, 2022. This came 12 days after Lyons got his official offer from Colorado. Notre Dame and Colorado could flip him, but he will stay put.
By doing their homework on him earlier than most, Washington will get Lyons to sign with them.
Prediction: Washington
