Taking a look at the ages of quarterbacks in the 2023 NFL Playoffs with Brock Purdy, Jalen Hurts, Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow still playing.

So much talk about the ages of NFL quarterbacks centers around the extremes. On one hand you have Tom Brady, who was 45 years old in the 2022 season. Then you have the young guns who have taken the league by storm. And it’s been the latter group that has really broken out throughout the NFL Playoffs.

The youth movement for quarterbacks has been impressive to see, both from players and coaches.

But as we go through the NFL Playoffs, you might be wondering the ages of quarterbacks in the NFL Playoffs. We’ve got you covered.

How old is 49ers QB Brock Purdy?

Mr. Irrelevant and one of the best stories of the NFL season, Brock Purdy is 23 years old and a rookie for the 49ers. He spent a four-year career playing QB for Iowa State before entering the draft and being taken with the last pick. He was then put into action after injuries to both Trey Lance and Jimmy Garoppolo.

How old is Eagles QB Jalen Hurts?

The former Alabama and Oklahoma star who was a Day 2 pick by the Eagles and has taken firm hold as the franchise quarterback, Jalen Hurts is 24 years old. Despite a long college career, he was still young for his draft class when he was still only 21 years old when he was drafted in 2020 as his birthday isn’t until August.

How old is Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes?

One of the greatest quarterbacks we’ve ever seen, Patrick Mahomes is somehow the oldest quarterback playing in conference championship weekend at only 27 years old. He also was only 21 years old when the Chiefs selected him 10th overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

How old is Bengals QB Joe Burrow?

Despite only being in his third NFL season, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is the second-oldest signal-caller still alive for the conference championships at 26 years old. This is largely due to a long college career as he spent three years at Ohio State before transferring to LSU and rising to stardom as he won a national championship with the Tigers.
