Breaking down our DraftKings golf picks for the PGA DFS slate at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am with top plays, top fades and our best lineup for the week.

Though the tournament often draws mixed reactions — largely because the rounds can take so long due to the amateurs playing alongside the PGA Tour pros — there are few golf courses as iconic as Pebble Beach in the United States. And that’s where we’re headed for this week’s AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

Now with February having arrived, we are back with our DraftKings golf picks to try and get the upper hand on the PGA DFS slate this week. Apologies for the hiatus, but we’re back to break down everything for you.

For those that need a refresher heading into the event that Tom Hoge won last year and with Jordan Spieth, Viktor Hovland and Matthew Fitzpatrick headlining the field this year, we will go over our top play from each pricing range (along with a smattering of other possible options), the top fade from each tier, and then construct a winning lineup.

With that, let’s truly get all the way back as we hand out our AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am DraftKings golf picks for this week’s PGA DFS contests.

DraftKings picks for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am PGA DFS lineups: Top Plays

$10,000: Matthew Fitzpatrick ($10,100) – Looking at the field, I don’t understand why Fitzpatrick is the third-highest-priced golfer on DraftKings. He’s started three ties in America since October and hasn’t finished worse than T13. In that run, he also added a T5 on the DP World Tour. He’s playing like one of the world’s best with a complete game and should be able to attack at Pebble Beach. Also Consider: Viktor Hovland ($10,300), Tom Hoge ($10,000)

$9,000: Joel Dahmen ($9,000) – Perspective is off the charts for Joel Dahmen after his wife gave birth in the past couple of weeks but now he’s back in action. And I love the fit for him. Dahmen thrives on courses that are a bit shorter and accentuate iron play, which is exactly where we’re at this week. At the bottom of this range, I just love the upside, even if the new-dad fatigue does worry me at least marginally. Also Consider: Seamus Power ($9,800), Andrew Putnam ($9,700), Matt Kuchar ($9,400)

$8,000: Ben Griffin ($8,600) – Few players have been trending as notably positively as Ben Griffin lately. He has reeled off five straight finishes of T32 or better, including two inside the Top 16. He’s been ball-striking the heck out of it and just playing solidly. In a field that, frankly, isn’t deep at all, I love for him to stay on this road and come up with a solid finish. In fact, I had him as my Top 10 pick this week. Also Consider: Thomas Detry ($8,800), Kevin Kisner ($8,500), David Lipsky ($8,200), Nick Taylor ($8,000)

$7,000: Matthew NeSmith ($7,300) – The $7K range is not all that inviting but the value with Matthew NeSmith in comparison to how he should fit this course is hard to ignore. Over the last 20 rounds, NeSmith has gained an incredible 1.24 strokes per round on approach. He’s a perfect fit for this course, which is backed by a T16 in 2021 and T11 in 2020. I love his value and think he’s a great play this week. Also Consider: Davis Riley ($7,800), Robby Shelton ($7,800), Russell Knox ($7,500), Kevin Yu ($7,300), Ben Taylor ($7,200), Matthias Schmid ($7,100)

$6,000: Marcel Siem ($6,500) – If you can, try and avoid the $6K range this week. If you have to, though, you can go down midway into it and grab Marcel Siem. He became a name for a week in contention at The Open, but he’s played well in November and December on the DP World Tour recently. It’s risky, but there is upside with a player who is clearly talented. Also Consider: Kevin Tway ($6,900), Peter Malnati ($6,800), Ben Martin ($6,700)

DraftKings golf picks for AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am PGA DFS lineups: Top Fades

$10,000: Jordan Spieth ($10,600) – For some people, Jordan Spieth at Pebble Beach is an autoplay. People is not a group that includes me. Spieth just has been way too erratic with virtually every part of his game for too many months for me to trust him. Even at a place where he’s traditionally been awesome, I can’t have him in my DraftKings lineup as the highest-priced player in the field.

$9,000: Justin Rose ($9,500) – With four straight Top 40 finishes, some might be ready to buy in on Justin Rose. What’s gone overlooked, especially over the past two weeks, though, is that Rose has done a lot of that work with the putter. Pebble Beach is a second shot golf course with small greens and tight approaches. The numbers say Rose isn’t there with that part of his game, so I can’t buy it.

$8,000: Taylor Pendrith ($8,900) – Speaking of this being an approach play golf course, it’s definitely a wedge-fest for longer hitters like Taylor Pendrith. That, however, is a problem for the Canadian as his wedge play this season (and really overall) has not been favorable for him. I know the upside of Pendrith but this is just a course that doesn’t suit his game based on what he’s shown.

$7,000: Webb Simpson ($7,700) – Honestly, Webb Simpson is at this price because of his name and no other reason. His game fell off a cliff at the end of last season and he has made one cut since the 2022-23 season started. His last start was a missed cut at the Sony Open and I don’t think his game is anywhere near where it needs to be for him to be in your lineup.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am: Best DraftKings golf lineup

  • Matthew Fitzpatrick ($10,100)
  • Ben Griffin ($8,600)
  • David Lipsky ($8,200)
  • Nick Taylor ($8,000)
  • Robby Shelton ($7,800)
  • Matthew NeSmith ($7,300)

While I’d love to have Dahmen, I want to avoid the $6K range at all costs at Pebble Beach. Thus, we go heavy in the $8K range with our top play in Griffin and then David Lipsky and Nick Taylor. This tournament should suit Lipsky’s game and he’s played well lately. As for Taylor, he’s a horse for Pebble Beach with a win and T14 in two of his last three starts here.

Fitzpatrick and NeSmith have already been discussed, leaving us with Shelton. Robby Shelton is the exact type of player who thrives on shorter tracks and that plays out with his approach play numbers, gaining 0.90 strokes per round over his last 20. I love him to show well and round out this lineup nicely.
