Teams that should steal Lamar Jackson in free agency: Atlanta Falcons
Do we really believe the Atlanta Falcons drafted Kyle Pitts to be a blocker? Come on, now. The Falcons’ offense could be scary with the right quarterback under center. Not only do they have a generational talent at tight end in Pitts, but maybe the most physically-imposing wide receiver from last year’s draft class in Drake London.
The offense has pieces in place, but they’re still lacking a quarterback. The Falcons, surprisingly, finished near the top of the league in rushing last season. Despite not having a household name in the backfield, Atlanta stayed committed to the run and pounded defenses week in and week out.
And that’s not to say the Falcons don’t have running backs. Rookie Tyler Allgeier came on as the season unfolded, and it helped to have mobile quarterbacks like Marcus Mariota and Desmond Ridder under center as well.
With the Falcons finishing third in the league in rushing just behind Jackson’s Ravens, they could immediately surpass both Baltimore and maybe even Chicago next season to take over as the number-one rushing team in the league. Jackson changes this offense from Day 1 and also starts one of the biggest hype trains we’ve ever seen in the fantasy football realm, in regards to Pitts.
