Magic vs. Sixers prediction and odds for Wednesday, February 1 (Back Orlando again)

The Orlando Magic pulled off an impressive upset win against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, and they’re looking to do the same thing again on Wednesday.

Philly has been on a terrific stretch as of late, going 19-5 over its last 24 games. However, the Magic have also been impressive as well, and they’re looking to make a push for a play-in spot in the East.

Orlando has shown on a nightly basis that it can compete with some of the league’s best teams, beating Philly on Monday and winning three games this season against the Boston Celtics.

Despite winning outright in their last meeting with Philly, the Magic are 9.5-point underdogs again on Wednesday.

The Sixers could be without Joel Embiid (questionable, foot) while the Magic have listed Wendell Carter Jr. as questionable for this game.

Even as good as the Sixers have been lately, I’m going to take the points with Orlando tonight.

The Magic are 13-10-1 against the spread as road dogs this season, and their average margin of victory is -5.0, meaning they’re keeping games way inside this spread.

Orlando is one of the few teams that can match up with Philly size wise, especially since it has several different bodies it can throw on Embiid.

Philadelphia is 12-10-1 ATS as a home favorite, but it’s covered just once on this homestand.

The Sixers are also winning those games by an average margin of just 4.9 points. I have been concerned with Orlando’s offensive struggles on the road this season, but the team should be able to hang around against a Philly team that plays at one of the slowest paces in the NBA.
