NBA schedule today, game time, players to watch (Friday, Feb. 3)

Breaking down the NBA schedule for Friday, Feb. 3, including all the biggest games and most important players to watch.

Tonight’s NBA schedule is a little bit lighter with just eight games and just one on national television — the Suns and the Celtics on NBATV.

Here’s everything you need to know to watch and what to look for.

NBA schedule: NBA games, start times and players to watch today, Feb. 3

• Charlotte Hornets at Detroit Pistons – 7:00 p.m. ET
• Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers – 7:00 p.m. ET
• Portland Trail Blazers at Washington Wizards – 7:00 p.m. ET
• Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics – 7:30 p.m. ET (NBATV)
• Toronto Raptors at Houston Rockets – 8:00 p.m. ET
• Orlando Magic at Minnesota Timberwolves – 8:00 p.m. ET
• Philadelphia 76ers at San Antonio Spurs – 8:00 p.m. ET
• Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz – 9:00 p.m. ET

Phoenix Suns at Boston Celtics

This is the most marquee matchup on the schedule tonight, between two teams who entered the season with championship aspirations. The Suns have struggled in Devin Booker’s absence but he could be just days away from making his return. The Suns have also been playing better of late, winning six of their last eight. Mikal Bridges has been sensational over this stretch, averaging 23.1 points per game. The Celtics, meanwhile, are coming off an epic thumping of the Brooklyn Nets with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown firing on all cylinders.

Sacramento Kings at Indiana Pacers

This will be the third matchup between the Kings and Pacers since they swapped Tyrese Haliburton and Domantas Sabonis at the 2022 trade deadline. It’s a deal that is looking more and more like a win-win with the Kings holding the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference and the Pacers battling for a spot in the play-in tournament. There could be an extra celebratory atmosphere to this one with the announcement yesterday that both Haliburton and Sabonis were selected as All-Stars.

Atlanta Hawks at Utah Jazz

Trae Young may bring some extra motivation into this one, having missed out on an All-Star selection for the second time in three years. His up-and-down season has continued up to today. He’s averaging 25.3 points per game over his last 10, but shooting just 30.8 percent from beyond the arc. He’s averaging 10.3 assists per game over his last 10, but with 5.2 turnovers at the same time. On the other side, will be Lauri Markkanen who made his first All-Star team and is averaging 26.9 points per game over his last 10, hitting better than 50 percent from beyond the arc.
