NFL Draft rumors: Bears trade No. 1 to Texans

The Houston Texans will likely not want to give up so much draft capital, but moving from 2 to 1 will require a hefty price. That means both first-rounders this year and a second-round this year. No need to break the bank in 2024. This would be plenty for the Bears.

Not only do they move back one spot, but they still pick up an extra first that they could also move back again to secure more Day 2 picks to land talent that falls out of the first round and into Rounds 2 and 3.

Meanwhile, Houston lands a quarterback to build their franchise around, while Chicago gets compensation to fill out all the holes on their roster in this grueling rebuilding process. At least they have Justin Fields.
