The Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles are set to square off in Super Bowl 57, but who will be calling the big game for FOX?

The Super Bowl LVII matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles figures to be a marquee attraction for the NFL. Storylines abound in the big game, including Andy Reid squaring off against his former team, Travis and Jason Kelce becoming the first brothers ever to face off in a Super Bowl, and the first-ever matchup between black quarterbacks in the Super Bowl between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.

All of those factors should lead to massive ratings for FOX, which is broadcasting the Super Bowl for the first time since 2020, when the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in a thriller that came down to a huge Kansas City comeback in the fourth quarter. Things have changed a bit for FOX in the broadcast booth, however, after the network let its previous A-team of Joe Buck and Troy Aikman bolt for ESPN prior to this season.

Who is announcing Super Bowl LVII?

FOX’s top broadcast crew is now Kevin Burkhardt and Greg Olsen, each of whom will be making their Super Bowl debuts in the booth. Burkhardt’s journey to this moment is a wonderful story as he is a true broadcast lifer who had a job selling cars early in his career while he was freelancing in the field. After breaking into major professional sports as the New York Mets’ reporter for SNY, Burkhardt was hired by FOX in 2013, starting out as the play-by-play voice for the network’s No. 4 crew before working his way up the ladder to succeed Buck this season.

Olsen, the former tight end with the Carolina Panthers, is in his second season with FOX and has been Burkhardt’s partner since he joined the network. Despite receiving a ton of praise for his work, this may end up being Olsen’s only Super Bowl since FOX has promised the No. 1 analyst slot to Tom Brady, who signed a huge deal with the network last summer to step into the booth after his retirement.
