Bryce and Bronny James were in the building to watch their dad, LeBron, become the NBA’s all-time leading scorer. Their view was absolutely incredible.

Everyone with the means and opportunity was in the building Tuesday night to watch LeBron James attempt to make history. He entered the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder 36 points shy of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s record for the most points in NBA history. Near the end of the third quarter, with 36 points already on the board, he caught the ball in the high post, took a few dribbles and dropped in a jumper of Kenrich Williams.

You’ve probably seen the footage already, including LeBron’s reaction and the ensuing celebration.

As play stopped and people began to join James on the court, we saw his sons Bryce and Bronny James come from the baseline below the basket, both with phones in their hands. It turns out they had a pretty great view of their dad setting the record.

When will Bryce and Bronny James join LeBron in the NBA?

Both Bryce and Bronny James are likely NBA prospects and the idea of LeBron hanging on until Bronny is drafted so they can be teammates has taken hold. Bronny, a 6-foot-3 guard, is currently a high school senior and choosing between essentially any high-level college program he’d like. He’s currently rated as a late first-round prospect on many 2024 Big Boards.

Bryce is just 15, but already close to 6-foot-6 and approaching his dad in height. He’s reportedly a very strong shooter and with his size, there is some buzz that he could become a better long-term prospect than his brother.

Whether LeBron can actually hang on long enough to player with both of his sons is an open question. But if he does he may have put that scoring record out of reach permanently.
