Next up is Pool C, featuring the United States, Colombia, Great Britain and Mexico.

United States World Baseball Classic Roster

The United States WBC roster is headlined by captain Mike Trout, as well as catcher J.T. Realmuto, third baseman Nolan Arenado, shortstop Trea Turner and more. The U.S. is a little light in the pitching department, which could come back to haunt them. Adam Wainwright and Nestor Cortes top of decent, but not great, starting rotation.

Canada World Baseball Classic Roster

The Canadian World Baseball Classic roster is captained by Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers. Freeman, who previously played for the Atlanta Braves, is one of the more well-known players in MLB. Bo Naylor, Tyler O’Neill and more are also eligible, should they be chosen and/or reserve the right to play.

Colombia World Baseball Classic roster

There are some familiar faces with the Colombia team at the WBC with the likes of Jose Quintana on the pitching staff as the anchor along with guys like Jorge Alfaro and Gio Urshela. They might not be the favorites in a loaded Group C, but the Colombians should put up a spirited effort with a strong overall roster.

Great Britain World Baseball Classic roster

Great Britain’s WBC roster doesn’t have many recognizable names in it. They are among the youngest roster selections in the tournament, and are clearly an underdog for a reason. Still, minor leaguers like Harry Ford of the Seattle Mariners and Donovan Benoit of the Cincinnati Reds could make up this group, if they opt in.

Mexico World Baseball Classic roster

Julio Urias is expected to lead the Mexican WBC team. While players have been dropping like flies in terms of committing for this tournament, Urias is one of the more recognizable Mexican ball-players in the majors. Urias is a defending NL Cy Young winner, and is expected to be a free agent at the end of this season should the Dodgers opt not to sign him. Along with Urias, Taijaun Walker, Alex Verdugo and others are eligible, should they choose to play.

Colombia World Baseball Classic roster

Jose Quintana, Gio Urshela and Donovan Solano, among others, are the most well-known players on the Colombia roster. While the majority of this roster remains a mystery in the lead-up to the official announcement, Quintana was one of the better comeback stories in baseball last season during his time with the Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals.
