New York Giants’ offseason move – Find multiple wide receivers

The fact that Brian Daboll got the Giants to the playoffs is remarkable considering the lack of talent he was working with, particularly on offense. New York’s top pass catchers at the end of the season were Isaiah Hodgins, who they claimed off waivers from the Buffalo Bills in November, and Richie James, a guy who would be a fourth receiver on most teams.

Daniel Jones figures to be back one way or another for the Giants, who can use him as a bridge quarterback until they can find a more long-term solution. The expectations have been raised after this year’s run to the Divisional Round, however, so New York needs to find Jones better receivers to work with in 2023.

The most intriguing free agent fit would be former Giant Odell Beckham Jr, who was considering signing with them at the end of the season. Even a steady veteran like Marvin Jones would help as a possession receiver capable of moving the sticks on third down.

Daboll should also push to use one of the Giants first two picks on a receiver in another deep class of collegiate pass catchers. Jordan Addison and Jaxon Smith-Njigba could be in play at No. 24 while  Tennessee’s Cedric Tillman and Michigan State’s Jayden Reed are options in Round 2.
