It was just a couple of weeks ago when the Sixers and Nets played in a 137-133 heavyweight fight that felt like it might be a playoff preview. Joel Embiid was clearly settling a personal vendetta every time he got Ben Simmons in a switch and Kyrie Irving dropped 30 for the Nets.

Now, The Sixers are still in third in the Eastern Conference and the Nets are fifth, but this game has a very different feel with Kyrie and Kevin Durant shipped out West. The Nets have a whole new cast of characters, but that gives us some value on prop bets as we try to sort through Nets new collection of 3-and-D wings.

Sixers vs. Nets best prop bets

James Harden under 2.5 3-pointers (-111)
Joel Embiid Over 42.5 points+rebounds (-120)
Spencer Dinwiddie under 4.5 assists (+124)

James Harden under 2.5 3-pointers (-111)

The Chicago Bulls aren’t a great three-point shooting team, but the Nets also played a part in a 5/26 day from behind the arc on Thursday. The Nets added so much length on defense and are now incredibly switchable, they won’t have to play drop coverage ever and will be able to contest all of Harden’s shots from outside.

Joel Embiid Over 42.5 points+rebounds (-120)

I think Embiid personally hates the Brooklyn Nets. He actually didn’t end up playing all that well against them last game, because he was so geared up to go at Ben Simmons. Simmons came off the bench last game and his playing time will keep decreasing, so Embiid will be able to play his normal game and still be motivated by playing Brooklyn.

Spencer Dinwiddie under 4.5 assists (+124)

You have to lay a lot of juice on the over of this prop, and I’m not interested in paying a -154 price on any prop bet. Instead, I’ll take the otherside of it, because Dinwiddie is a ball dominant, score-first guard. Last game he had six assists, but that number can easily drop with more of their trade acquisitions on the floor tonight.
