Brittany Mahomes is demanding an apology from Chiefs haters, which definitely exist
By Mark Powell
Where are the Kansas City Chiefs haters? We know you’re out there, hiding somewhere. Brittany Mahomes wants her damn apology.
Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, is relaying the same message many of their players have repeated ad nauseam the last few days.
“No one thought we’d be here.”
Except…no one thought you *wouldn’t be here. That’s the key fix on that statement.
Look, some were dumb enough to pick the Chargers, Raiders, or Broncos to win the AFC West prior to the start of the regular season due to some misplaced offseason hype, but by no means did the majority of media pundits — or those informed enough to make said picks — think Kansas City would lose out to those three organizations.
As long as Mahomes is the starting QB, Kansas City should be favored to win the West, especially while he’s in his prime.
But the Chiefs don’t like that narrative, hence their oh-so-annoying disrespect tour.

Brittany Mahomes wants YOU to apologize to the Chiefs
Now, once Kansas City made the Super Bowl, there were a number of experts who thought the Philadelphia Eagles should be favored to win the game. Heck, even I thought they had a good chance. Philadelphia, on paper, had a more complete roster. They were just lacking Patrick Mahomes.
Kansas City proved me wrong — I’ll be the first to admit that. Their offensive line pushed around the Eagles defensive line for much of the game, averaging a staggering yards-per-play number.
Still, there’s a difference between “some pundits thought the Chiefs would lose the Super Bowl game itself” and “no one thought we would be here”. Kansas City has the best QB in football, and perhaps the best ever by the time his career is said and done.
No one with half a brain doubted the Chiefs. Stop it.
