Welcome to the Conference of Champions, featuring the 14-12 (6-9) Colorado Buffaloes and 18-8 (9-6) Arizona State Sun Devils in Tempe Arizona.

Bobby Hurley’s Sun Devils have won their last two matchups and will look to build a real winning streak as they come down the stretch of the Pac 12 schedule as we get closer and closer to March.

Standing in their way is Colorado and the Buffaloes have been alternating wins and losses for seven games. Their most recent outing was a 73-62 loss to Utah.

Last time these teams met in Boulder, Arizona State escaped with a 60-59 win over Colorado.

Here are the odds for round two between the Buffaloes and Sun Devils at Arizona State tonight:

Colorado vs. Arizona State prediction and pick

Despite Colorado alternating wins and losses and a win being due up next, I don’t think it is going to get it tonight.

The Buffaloes have one of the biggest home court advantages in all of college basketball with the altitude in Boulder.

Because of that, they’re 11-2 at home and 1-8 on the road.

Colorado is also 1-7-1 against the spread on the road. KJ Simpson, their leading scorer is reliable both at home and on the road, but his running-mate, Tristan da Silva has a major drop off on away from Boulder.

Da Silva is averaging 20.3 points and 5.8 rebounds a game, shooting 48% from 3 on nearly four attempts a game, and is shooting almost 60% from the field. The 6-foot-9 forward is a matchup nightmare and a problem for the rest of the Pac 12 in exactly half of his games.

In the other half, he’s scoring 11.9 and grabbing just 4.2 boards while shooting 34.9% from behind the arc and 42.6% from the field. His home road splits are staggering and Arizona State won’t need to worry about him dominating this game at all.

Colorado already shoots the ball poorly on the road, so going up against the Sun Devils who hold their opponents to 38.8% from the field won’t be fun.

Arizona State hasn’t been great against the spread lately, but the Suns Devils are a great bet tonight.
